Server-side instrumentation review

A structured audit of how your connected mobile apps emit and receive events on the server — gaps, duplicates, and trust risks in the current map.

Flagship engagement

This is our most requested piece of work. We examine the live path from mobile client intent through backend handlers into your analytics warehouse or event store, then rewrite the map so product, data, and engineering share one source of truth.

Who it is for

Teams shipping connected mobile apps in Malaysia or regional markets who already collect events but cannot answer basic questions: which server events fire for a successful checkout, which properties are required, and who owns each definition when numbers disagree.

Result

A written instrumentation review with a prioritised fix list, a corrected event map for the journeys you nominate, and a walkthrough session so your engineers can implement changes without guessing.

What is included

  • Intake of up to three priority journeys (for example sign-up, purchase, subscription renewal)
  • Review of server handlers, payload samples, and existing tracking plans
  • Annotated event map with recommended names, properties, and firing conditions
  • Risk notes on PII leakage, client-only events that should move server-side, and silent failures
  • 90-minute handoff call with your product and engineering leads

What is excluded

Implementation coding, warehouse modelling beyond the event layer, and creative campaign measurement. We stay with server-side event mapping for connected mobile apps.

Provider and process

Work is led by a Server Canvas Base consultant based in Klang, with optional co-review from a second practitioner for larger portfolios. Typical timeline is two to three weeks from kickoff, depending on access to staging payloads and API documentation.

Pricing basis

Starting at MYR 7,200 for one app and three journeys. Additional journeys or apps are quoted after the intake call. A deposit of 40% confirms the start date; the balance is due on delivery of the review document.

Constraints

We need read access to relevant logs or sample payloads (sanitised is fine) and a named contact who can answer product questions within two business days. Without that, reviews pause rather than invent definitions.

Next step

Use the contact form and select “Instrumentation review.” Attach a short list of the journeys you care about most.
